Core Authentication Engine (rewrite 2)

CAE is a custom web management application, which can serve as a CMS, backend to another custom application, or secure host for secure static files, (in theory).

I have completely scrapped the previous version, and opted for a completely different direction with this new rewrite. The rewrite includes a core bootstrapper, and strict MVC style approach. The different components are:

• Model: Implemented as a 'Library'
  Basicaly, it's a class, or set of classes that perform some low-level database operation. These act as the core interface between your application and the data behind it. Javascript libraries are also considered to be in this category, as they themselves do not do anything, but provide funtionality to other components.
• Controller: Implemented as a 'Module'
  This is where the girth of the application lives. You can create abstract classes that extend the ViewClass to act as a 'page'. They return a Page object, which contains any data on the requested page, including title, breadcrumbs, metadata, body, etc...
• View: Implemented as Smarty templates.
  These can be utilized by the modules' viewClasses to customize the pages' appearance.

Although I have no database dump available at current, I do have the code checked into an SVN repository that is browsable. I also have the most current client that I am building the core for available.

I have several wallpaper images that I've created/edited available in a generic directory listing. Right now, they are just a couple of wide-screen formatted images, but they feature the acid2 test face, flames, and Ubuntu. Here is the directory that they reside in; yet to create an interface of anytype.

I have got the SVN repository set back up for this new rewrite. Yet to upload the database dump, but I'll post it sometime.

So, it has been a bit longer then a month or two, October has arrived, but the application is in development none-the-less. The development site, however, is online, (usually). This is a volatile codebase running on a temporary server, so don't mind too much of errors that may be encountered.

I am currently working on a new custom CMS to be placed on this site. It should be ready for testing release in a month or two.
Features of it so far...

• jQuery integrated for dynamic applications and modules
• Smarty template support for everything from the themes to the modules/boxes.
• More things that I can't think of right now...
